Kaspersky Virus Scanner Pro App Reviews

Still Trying to get it to work!! Just bounces on dock…Have restarted computer.. Uninstalled and reinstalled program….Will not launch!!

I cant believe that this only has 2 stars. I remove malware from other peoples computers. One of my first go-to options, is Kaspersky. I have never had any mac malware removal jobs. But i have had tons of PC Jobs. And this has NEVER Failed me. When all else fails, Kaspersky is there. It is an exceptional program. When i tried their Virus Scanner for mac, i was unhappy to find that their app was $10.00. But when I bought it, it was worth the money. Kaspersky is the best choice for Mac. Although compatibility appears to be an issue.

Just downloaded/installed this app on Aug. 5th 2012 and after the instalation had completed I tried to run the application and recieved an error stating something to the effect that the file is damaged and needs to be redownloaded/reinstalled - so I did that - and recieved the same error. I tried restarting my system multiple times, reviewing updates and consulting support forums with no success. Does not work. Waste of money. Period.

Everytime I try to update my databases it says my update progress is 100%, but then says my databases are out of date. :/

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! Doesn’t update. Doesnt scan.

It does what it says it updates in the background, scans your downloads automatically, and allows you to scan your computer. Totally worth it!

Hopefully they will update it, but till then I guess Im out of luck.

Im on OS X Mountain Lion, and this app. Kaspersky, says it is a damaged installation every time I try to run it. $10 wasted.

The download is reported to be corrupt when app is opened.

"Kaspersky Virus Scanner” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Kaspersky Virus Scanner” and download it again from the App Store. I have delete the software and re download but still does not correct the problem. Was working find prior to me updating to mountain lion.

Dont buy if you have updated to Mountain Lion! I got a few months use out of the program while I was running Lion but it doesnt work anymore...

The application is not compatible with Mountain Lion. Crashes completely without opening since ML update.

I have not been able to run on Mountain Lion it keep saying its damaged delete and download again develpoers canot even keep up with an update to fix

Dont not buy Kaspersky. It does not work with Mountain Lion and did not do anything special to begin with. Kasperky goes the way of Windows 95 and Q-Bert.

Very disappointing to know this condition, the deveopler did not fair to let this happen. Hope they will update it and make it works on ML. Teddy

Apparently, the folks at Kaspersky have forgotten the concept of updates for compatibity with Macs latest OSX (Mountain Lion). I have been exchanging emails, files, reports, logs, you name it with their customer support and their response (every single time) is: "uninstall the version you have with our uninstaller, install the latest version and activate". But, guess what: It DOESNT WORK! The computer goes into a state of non-response. Long story short, I paid for this app, worked with the previous OS, but after the update, never ran again. It will not accept the license, and simply, I lost mt money. Thanks, Kaspersky, for showing everyone how NOT to provide Customer Service!

I was going to email Kasperky Tech support, but then figured why waste the time. :) I upgraded to Mt Lion and now Kaspersky still doesnt work. I checked the Kasperky web site and on July 26, 12 Kasperky stated: "Hi, we have submitted KSV update to be compatible with 10.8 to the app store some ago. But now we need to wait when Apple will finish its review and allow us to publish the update. I think we need several days more, and after ML-compatible version will automatically appear in the App Store. " NO UPDATE FOR A MONTH. GIVE ME A BREAK. AND NO COMMENT. App store should refund the money for this. And they still sell it. :)
