Kaspersky Virus Scanner Pro App Reviews

It keeps saying Kaspersky is broken; move to trash and reinstall. OK; I’ve done that three times now and still "broken".

I bought it to check my Macbook Pro 17” with 400GB used as well as my Base Station 3TB which only has 300GB used, it has been already 14 hours is at 70%!! It is unacceptable slow and it doesnt report why is causing it It should improve the interface and preference options, too limited and few. Please improve it

i can not update malware definition database and always a message "Databases is obsolete” appear

Used to be very useful, but now it crashes immediately upon launch makin it completely useless.

Pulls up a lot of false positives. Needs to allow me to copy the full paths to the “viruses” it found which are actually xcode build files. Won’t allow me to select the files that I want to disinfect - all or nothing, really!??! Missing some basic functionality like being able to pause the virus scan so my poor Macbook Pro can cool down and the scans take at least four hours currently. Would also be great to have the option to only scan for os x viruses as I dont really want to wait for it to look for windows and linux files. An option to not play the annoying roar sound every time it finds malware would be helpful too as it effectively renders my audio useless for several minutes.

This is slow and missed some malware. I had to install AVAST whih is free to remove the malware which kept mssing with DNS, reinstalling itself, etc. I cant believe I paid for this. The Mac anti-viurs/nalware market must be so small that they aren;t bothering ivesting time or resources. Its a shame because on the PC side, the Kasperkly name used to mean quality.

The app sometimes updates, sometimes not. I had it set for automatic updates, yet I constantly recieved obsolete database messages and had to update manually. Not much use. I had respect for the Kasperskey brand, but this particular app is subpar.

The app used to work somewhat, but was very slow. Now I can’t even get the app to open….. I wouldn’t recommend anyone buying this app!

Does not work on Yosemite!

I get this message now. It tells me to delete the app, then download it again from the Apple App Store. THAT app, too, is damaged and must be deleted. Please issue us a new, improved virus scanner. This is ridiculous from a supposedly reputable company!

Not Compatible with OS 10.10. It won’t even start to scan things. Please fix it.

Just bought this a couple months ago and updated to new Mac Operating system doesnt work. Have had more problems with your programs time to change companies

Version 8.1.5 for some reason is giving me an error: “Kaspersky Virus Scanner” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Kaspersky Virus Scanner” and download it again from the App Store. Well, I’ve done this numerous times to no avail. Deleted and restarted the computer…no dice. After going to their site there’s no real indication of true support for this particular app. Not sure if it’s an upgrade issue for Yosemite or not. Stay tuned but for now I guess I would recommend, NOT PURCHASING. Anyone else having this issue?

Ran this new version ONLY ONCE; and now it won’t even OPEN! Not a good thing!

I was very happy with my Kaspersky Virus Scanner until I downloaded the update. The old version allowed scheduling regular scans. This new version only supports manual scans, so I have to rely on my memory and have to actually be at my computer to kick off a scan. Virtually worthless. Only gets 2 stars because the old version was great, otherwise I’d give this version 1 star.
